Hot Body Fitness Team

Alan Koizumi

Alan Koizumi

As a long time avid road cyclist who has enjoyed 100 mile charity rides and three times weekly local rides, Alan wanted to improve his overall cycling performance.  He began spinning in February 2010 and it was not long until his respiratory, cardio, and cadence increased.  Now, as a Hot Body Fitness Spinning instructor, Alan uses the significant changes in his cycling to inspire his workouts profiles.  His endurance profiles are designed to increase your body's ability to burn the excess stored fat which most bodies have forgotten how to do. Interval profiles force you to push your body, in a safe way, past the aerobic threshold.  Strength profiles are just that - it builds your lower body muscles by making your muscle fatigue so that the next time you use them they have the strength to answer the call.  All of these profiles are set to music that he has used on the bike trails of California.

Lucie Le Blanc

Lucie Le Blanc

If you’re looking for a change in your life, you’ve come to the right person! Lucie will help take the confusion out of diet and exercise by giving you the right information to start making the right choices. Her program takes into account three factors — self, science, and sweat. Weight loss & fitness training is a process that is both mental and physical. There are no gimmicks or get-skinny-quick schemes here — we're talking about fitness for life! Lucie believes there are three main hurdles to cross before you can finally get fit: you need to get support, eat right, and exercise. Her workouts are based on muscle confusion, which tremendously helps developing a lean and sculpted body. Workouts are progressive to ensure success. She will help you improve cardiovascular health, tone and strengthen all major muscle groups, and refine functional balance and posture by giving you a healthier back and stronger abdominals. Lucie will challenge you, and even kick your butt! She guarantees that you will LOVE the results.

Michelle Gonzales

Michelle Gonzales

Michelle Gonzales began Spinning at Hot Body Fitness in June of 2008, just a couple of weeks after they opened their doors in San Leandro. She learned to love exercising thanks to her mother who dragged her to aerobics classes in the 1980's, has also studied and practiced cardio-kickboxing, lap swimming, weight training, and Pilates, but had never been inspired enough by an exercise program to seek certification until she began Spinning. Michelle has been a Weight Watchers Lifetime Member since 2004, after reaching her goal weight on the program, and she has maintained her goal weight by eating sensibly and Spinning three to four times per week, in addition to other exercise. Michelle enjoys teaching Spinning because it allows her to be part fitness coach and part DJ. Michelle motivates her students by staying fit, riding hard, using humor, and by encouraging them to form a healthy connection with their bodies. In addition to teaching Spinning, Michelle teaches English at Las Positas College.
